Porsche has reimagined its popular Cayenne SUV as a high-performance electric coupe, and the results are genuinely impressive. The new Cayenne Coupe Electric family trades the boxy SUV silhouette for a dramatically sloped roofline and sculpted rear end that looks more like a BMW X-series. This isn't just about looks—the sleeker design cuts wind resistance significantly, achieving a 0.23 drag coefficient that helps boost both range and efficiency.
The real headline is performance. While the base model delivers 408 horsepower, the top-tier Turbo variant unleashes 857 hp (1,156 hp with overboost)—enough to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. That's supercar territory. All three versions share an 800-volt charging system that can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 16 minutes, with an estimated real-world range around 350 miles.
Inside, Porsche packed premium features including an adjustable electrochromic roof, a wraparound digital display, augmented reality navigation, and leather upholstery options. The tradeoff for that sleek exterior is slightly less interior space than the standard Cayenne Electric, though it still comfortably seats four adults.
Pricing starts at $113,800 for the base model, with the Turbo Coupe reaching $168,000. For a luxury electric SUV combining 350-mile range with supercar acceleration, that's surprisingly competitive in today's premium EV market.
